OFFICAL PROCEEDINGS FOR
TAYLOR COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
The Taylor County Board of Supervisors met in regular session at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday,
May 21, 2026. Supervisor Jack Beggs called the meeting to order at 9:05 a.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Supervisor roll call: Beggs, Fitzgerald and Wall present. Also present, Auditor Judy Henry and Rob Welch.
Wall motioned to approve the agenda for today and minutes from the May 14, 2026, meeting. Fitzgerald seconded the motion, MC 3-0.
PUBLIC COMMENT:
None
COMMITTEE REPORT:
Wall attended the Hungry Canyon Alliance meeting.
SECONDARY ROADS:
Hungry Canyon Agreements were tabled to May 28, 2026, so Engineer Sunderman could be present for discussion and possible approval.
NEW BUSINESS:
The Board signed employee insurance buyout forms.
Paul Maynes, Lenox Development, joined the Board to discuss the ongoing housing shortage in the Lenox area.
Auditor Henry stated Holly Steeve, VA Director, is setting up an open house for the new VA Office on May 29th. Steeve will send information to the local paper with the details.
OLD BUSINESS:
Culp gave an update on maintenance for the courthouse. She stated the furnace room got water in it from all the rain. She also contacted Lincolns Lawn for some sidewalk repairs.
Claims against the County were reviewed and approved.
The Board discussed items for the next meeting.
Wall made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Fitzgerald seconded, MC 3-0.
Meeting adjourned.
