OFFICAL PROCEEDINGS FOR
TAYLOR COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

The Taylor County Board of Supervisors met in regular session at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday,
June 11, 2026. Supervisor Jack Beggs called the meeting to order at 9:04 a.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Supervisor roll call: Beggs and Wall present, Fitzgerald was absent. Also present, Auditor Judy Henry, Deputy Chance Strough, Engineer Seth Sunderman and Corey Eberling.

Wall motioned to approve the agenda for today and minutes from the June 4, 2026, meeting. Beggs seconded, MC 3-0.

PUBLIC COMMENT:
Eberling relayed that June 30, 2026, is the deadline for funding requests from APEX.

COMMITTEE REPORT:
None

SECONDARY ROADS:
Sunderman reported they have a lot of trees down on the County roads due to Wednesday night’s storm. Also, the rain is washing out culverts, they will need to replace some. The bridge near Athelstan sustained a lot of damage from the heavy rain. They are looking into buying an end loader, they have a quote for $88,000 for a 2011 with 5750 hours, they are having one of the employees check it out. Sunderman presented a utility permit for Communication Innovators for boring and plow of 1.25” conduit at 210th St, Crestwood Ave, 220th St., Idaho Ave, 250th St., Jericho Ave and Hwy 2. Wall made a motion to approve the permit for Communication Innovators, Beggs seconded. MC 2-0. Henry presented Taylor County Resolution #2026-32: Secondary Roads FY27 4th Qtr. transfer in the amounts of $313,892.25 from Rural Services, $22,340.25 from General Basic Fund and $32,154.99 in LOST Funds. Wall made a motion to approve Resolution #2026-32, Beggs seconded, MC 2-0.
NEW BUSINESS:
Henry presented a liquor license application for the Taylor County Fair Association. Wall made a motion to approve the application. Beggs seconded, MC 2-0. Henry presented the FY27 agreement from NYHART Services. NYHART provides and gathers employee report information pertaining to our State Audit. Wall motioned to approve the agreement, Beggs seconded. MC 2-0.
Henry requested to change the July 25 moratorium public hearing to July 2, 2026, due to a scheduling conflict with the County. Wall made a motion to approve the date change to July 2, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., Beggs seconded. MC 2-0.
OLD BUSINESS:
Culp gave an update on maintenance for the courthouse and annex. She had contacted Scott Palmer about some repairs in the maintenance room.
Claims against the County were reviewed and approved.
The Board discussed items for the next meeting.

Wall made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Beggs seconded, MC 3-0.

Meeting adjourned.
