The Board of Supervisors of Taylor County, Iowa will hold a Public Hearing and Board Meeting to discuss and possibly vote on the application for a Wind Energy Conversion System project requested by Black Maple Wind, LLC on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the Board of Supervisors Room at the Taylor County Courthouse (405 Jefferson Street, Bedford, IA).

On July 30, 2026, the Taylor County Board of Supervisors officially passed Ordinance No. 40, establishing a temporary 12-month moratorium on new applications for data centers, solar energy systems, battery energy storage systems, and mineral rights developments.
