PROCEEDINGS FOR
TAYLOR COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

The Taylor County Board of Supervisors met in regular session at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday,
May 14, 2026. Supervisor Jack Beggs called the meeting to order at 9:03 a.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Supervisor roll call: Beggs, Fitzgerald and Wall present. Also present, Auditor Judy Henry, Engineer Seth Sunderman, and Nikki Lock, Bedford Times Press.

Fitzgerald motioned to approve the agenda for today and minutes from the May 7, 2026, meeting. Wall seconded the motion, MC 3-0.

PUBLIC COMMENT:
None

COMMITTEE REPORT:
Engineer Sunderman reported on the ATURA meeting.

SECONDARY ROADS:
There were no utility permits. Engineer Sunderman reported gravel was being delivered on multiple county roads.
NEW BUSINESS:
Auditor Henry presented the Cost Advisory Services (COST) agreement. This is a 3-year agreement that helps the County recover funds for administrative and operational reimbursements from state or federal programs. Fitzgerald motioned to approve the COST agreement, Wall seconded. MC 3-0.
Fitzgerald reported all current Crossroads Board members were advised to continue liability insurance while Crossroads goes through bankruptcy proceedings. Counties would pay on behalf of the Crossroads Board Members. Wall motioned to allow the County pay for Fitzgeralds portion of Crossroads liability insurance, Beggs seconded, MC 3-0.
Fitzgerald made a motion the Land Use Committee consists of Jeff Rice, SIRWA, a MidAmerican Rep, Dale Bucher, Judy Henry, Holly Cavin, Lincoln Wall, Amanda Misilko, Scott Eischied, Mike Wells, Seth Sunderman and Amanda Biddenback. Beggs seconded the motion, MC 3-0. This committee will develop an ordinance to present to the Taylor County Board of Supervisor. This ordinance will outline restrictions on the development of data centers, solar energy, wind energy, battery storage and mineral extraction in Taylor County.
OLD BUSINESS:
Culp gave an update on maintenance for the courthouse.
Claims against the County were reviewed and approved.

The Board discussed items for the next meeting.

Wall made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Fitzgerald seconded, MC 3-0.

Meeting adjourned.

The Board of Supervisors approve these unofficial minutes to be published in the local newspapers and upon approval in the Taylor County Board of Supervisors Minute Book:
