PROCEEDINGS FOR
TAYLOR COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

The Taylor County Board of Supervisors met in regular session at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday,
March 12, 2026. Supervisor Jack Beggs called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Supervisor roll call: Beggs, Fitzgerald and Wall present. Also present, Auditor, Judy Henry, Engineer Seth Sunderman, Rob Welch and Susan Breach.

Wall motioned to approve the agenda for today and minutes from March 10, 2026. Fitzgerald seconded, MC 3-0.

PUBLIC COMMENT:
None

COMMITTEE REPORT:
None

SECONDARY ROADS:
No utility permits. Engineer Sunderman reported they are preparing for pipe projects.
NEW BUSINESS:
Employee Insurance buyouts were reviewed. Auditor Henry presented Resolution #2026-21, Change of pay period start and end dates. The Auditors’ Office requests all department pay periods start and end on the same date, currently the County has seven different pay periods. Deputy Auditor Sonksen plans to start the new process with the final pay period in March. Fitzgerald motioned to approve Resolution #2026-21, Wall seconded. MC 3-0. Henry stated she will be meeting with County Attorney Wells to update the County credit card policy under recommendation of the State Auditor’s Office. Fitzgerald motioned to approve a liquor license for Alice Walston. Wall seconded, MC 3-0. Adam Brumfield joined the Board meeting to discuss lots the County owns in the City of Conway. Attorney Wells informed the Board he participated in the public hearing held by the League of Cities pertaining to the City of Conway dissolution. Wells shared Conway will be unincorporated on April 1, 2026, then the County has a 6 month wait period before properties and equipment can be sold. Beggs reported he is still working with Adams County Board of Supervisors to discuss the Veterans Affair office staffing. Fiscal Year 2027 salary/wag increase Resolution was tabled until the March 19th meeting.
OLD BUSINESS:
Culp updated the Board on projects within the Courthouse.
The Board discussed items for the next meeting.

Claims against the County were approved.

Wall made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Fitzgerald seconded, MC 3-0.
Meeting adjourned.

The Board of Supervisors approve these unofficial minutes to be published in the local newspapers and upon approval in the Taylor County Board of Supervisors Minute Book:
