PROCEEDINGS FOR THE
TAYLOR COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

The Taylor County Board of Supervisors met in regular session at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday,
December 18, 2025. Supervisor Jack Beggs called the meeting to order at 9:10 a m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Supervisor roll call: Fitzgerald and Beggs present. Also present, Auditor Judy Henry, Engineer Seth Sunderman, IT Josh Good, Conservationist Zoie Lecy and Nickie Dalton with United Fiber.

Fitzgerald made a motion to approve the agenda for today and the minutes from the December 10, 2025, meeting. Beggs seconded, MC 2-0.

COMMITTEE REPORT:
Fitzgerald attended the Crossroads meeting. Beggs attended the SICOG meeting.

PUBLIC COMMENT:
None

SECONDARY ROAD REPORT:
No utility permits. Fitzgerald made a motion to approve Resolution #2026-11, Secondary Roads 2nd Qtr. transfer FY26 of $313,892.25 from Rural Services, $22,340.25 from General Basic and $32,456.21 from LOST. Beggs seconded, MC 2-0.

NEW BUSINESS:
Zoie Lecy, Conservation, approached the Board about creating an ordinance for fence repairs. Beggs stated this was usually up to Township Trustees but would investigate it. Lecy gave an update on the possibility of leasing some land at the Airport for conservation programs. Lecy also gave an update on the progress on the Wilson Lake bathrooms.
Engineer Sunderman stated he will be researching zoning ordinances throughout the state that it would be important to have in Taylor County.
Treasurer Dana Davis along with Julie Robinson joined the meeting.
Nickie Dalton, United Fiber, was present to answer questions about switching the County phones and internet services. Fitzgerald made a motion to approve United Fiber as the new Internet and phone provider. Beggs seconded, MC 2-0. Dalton recommended starting with internet changes first.
Employee Insurance buyouts were signed.

OLD BUSINESS:
Treasurer Davis had some maintenance issues she needed the Board to help her with.
The Board approved claims to be paid and discussed items for the next meeting.
Fitzgerald made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Beggs seconded, MC 2-0.
Meeting adjourned.
