PROCEEDINGS FOR THE
TAYLOR COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
The Taylor County Board of Supervisors met in regular session at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday,
December 4, 2025. Supervisor Jack Beggs called the meeting to order at 9:05 a m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Supervisor roll call: Fitzgerald and Beggs present. Also present, Auditor Judy Henry and Jim Rowe.
Fitzgerald made a motion to approve the agenda for today and the minutes from the November 24, 2025, meeting. Beggs seconded, MC 2-0.
COMMITTEE REPORT:
Beggs attended the SICOG meeting.
PUBLIC COMMENT:
None
SECONDARY ROAD REPORT:
No utility permits. Rowe updated the Board on current road conditions.
NEW BUSINESS:
The Board received notice from the FEMA that Taylor County’s application to participate in the National Flood Insurance Program has been approved. This program allows local property owners the opportunity to purchase flood insurance. EMA Director Ogle submitted an informational news release to local media outlets.
Dollar General, Lenox, submitted a tobacco license application for the Boards approval. Fitzgerald motioned to approve the application, Beggs seconded. MC 2-0.
Equipment disposal forms were reviewed. Fitzgerlad motioned to approve the forms, Beggs seconded, MC 2-0.
Insurance buyouts were signed for Taylor County employees.
The final Board meeting for calendar year 2025 will be held on December 23, 2025. January 2, 2026 will be the Board’s reorganizational meeting for 2026.
OLD BUSINESS:
Shellia Culp discussed Courthouse upkeep.
The Board approved claims to be paid and discussed items for the next meeting.
Fitzgerald made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Beggs seconded, MC 2-0.
