PROCEEDINGS FOR THE
TAYLOR COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
The Taylor County Board of Supervisors met in regular session at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday,
September 11, 2025. Supervisor Jack Beggs called the meeting to order at 9:08 a m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Supervisor roll call: Kim Watson, Ron Fitzgerald, and Jack Beggs present. Also present, Deputy Auditor Lindsay Sonksen and Seth Sunderman
Watson made a motion to approve September 4 ,2025 minutes and agenda for today. Fitzgerald second, MC 3-0.
COMMITTEE REPORT:
Ron Fitzgerald attended the Atura meeting.
Watson attended the RC&D meeting.
Jack Beggs attended the Black Maple meeting.
PUBLIC COMMENT:
None
SECONDARY ROAD REPORT:
Seth Sunderman requested to have the Safety Equipment Allowance to be joined together for clothing and boots instead of keeping the allowances separate and wanted to change the limit from $250 for clothing and $35 for boots to $300 total for both items. Fitzgerald motioned to approve the Safety Equipment Allowance to change from $250 for clothing and $35 for boots to $300 total for both items. Watson seconded. MC 3-0.
Sunderman also discussed hiring a new employee, Drexel Richardson. Watson motioned to approve hiring Drexel Richardson. Fitzgerald seconded. MC 3-0.
NEW BUSINESS:
None
OLD BUSINESS:
Culp reported on continued projects and upkeep of the Courthouse. Also suggested having offices to decorate the display case in the courthouse. Sonksen suggested having businesses in Taylor County decorating the case for a period of one month at a time as an option too.
The Board approved claims to be paid and discussed items for the next meeting.
Watson made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Fitzgerald seconded, MC 3-0.
