PROCEEDINGS FOR THE
TAYLOR COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
The Taylor County Board of Supervisors met in regular session at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 24, 2024. Supervisor Fitzgerald called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Supervisor roll call: Fitzgerald, Watson and Beggs present. Also, present Auditor, Judy Henry, Jim Rowe and Raymond Olney.
Watson made a motion to approve the agenda for today and the minutes from October 24, 2024, Board Meeting. Beggs seconded the motion. MC 3-0.
Committee Report:
Watson attended the Heart of Iowa meeting. Fitzgerald attended the Crossroads Meeting.
Public Comments:
None
Secondary Road Report:
Rowe reported they continue to clear trees from roadsides.
Raymond Olney presented the Annual Weed Commissioner Report.
NEW BUSINESS:
Treasurer, Dana Davis, reported she would like to hire Courtney Thompson as a Clerk for her office. Watson made a motion to approve the hiring of Courtney Thompson. Beggs seconded the motion. MC 3-0.
OLD BUSINESS:
Beggs motioned the County hire Andy Knuth on a 90 day-Employment Agreement. Watson seconded the motion. MC 3-0.
The Board worked on items for the next meeting.
Claims were reviewed and approved.
Beggs made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Watson seconded the motion. MC 3-0. Meeting adjourned.
