PROCEEDINGS FOR THE
TAYLOR COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
The Taylor County Board of Supervisors met in regular session at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday,
November 6, 2025. Supervisor Jack Beggs called the meeting to order at 9:05 a m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Supervisor roll call: Watson and Beggs present. Also present, Auditor Judy Henry and Engineer Seth Sunderman.
Watson made a motion to approve the agenda for today and the minutes from the October 30, 2025, meeting. Beggs seconded, MC 2-0.
COMMITTEE REPORT:
Beggs attended the SICOG meeting.
PUBLIC COMMENT:
None
SECONDARY ROAD REPORT:
No utility permits. Engineer Sunderman said they were conducting interviews for a blade maintenance operator. They have been fielding calls on the Holt bridge project.
NEW BUSINESS:
Supervisor Fitzgerald joined the meeting by phone.
Dani Gray and Nate Bucher, Sheriff’s Office, requested hiring a part time dispatcher. After interviews, they wanted to hire Lexi Gray. Gray would report directly to Nate Bucher. Watson questioned if there was room in the Sheriff’s budget for a new hire. Gray and Auditor Henry agreed if the other part-time dispatchers were not working there would be room. Watson motioned to approve hiring Lexi Gray on a part time basis, Fitzgerald seconded, MC 3-0. Snow bids were revisited. Watson motioned to hire Kenny Spencer for Courthouse and Public Health sidewalk snow removal at $200 per diem. Beggs seconded, MC 3-0. Watson motioned to hire Jason Hanshaw for Public Health parking lot and Sheriff’s Office snow removal for $160 per diem. Fitzgerald seconded, MC 3-0.
OLD BUSINESS:
Shellia Culp discussed the upkeep of the Courthouse.
The Board approved claims to be paid and discussed items for the next meeting.
Fitzgerald made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Watson seconded, MC 2-0.
