PROCEEDINGS FOR
TAYLOR COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

The Taylor County Board of Supervisors met in regular session at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday,
March 26, 2026. Supervisor Jack Beggs called the meeting to order at 9:08 a.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Supervisor roll call: Beggs, Fitzgerald and Wall present. Also present, Auditor, Judy Henry, Engineer Seth Sunderman, Colleen Larimer, Bedford Times Press.

Fitzgerald motioned to approve the agenda for today and minutes from March 19, 2026. Wall seconded, MC 3-0.

PUBLIC COMMENT:
None

COMMITTEE REPORT:
Fitzgerald attended the MATURA meeting. Beggs attended the SICOG meeting and NRCS meeting.

SECONDARY ROADS:
Engineer Sunderman submitted SIRWA utility permits for water mains under Idaho Ave in Ross 5 and one under 285th street. Fitzgerald motioned to approve both permits, Wall seconded. MC 3-0. Sunderman reviewed his updated FY27 budget with the Board. Wall motioned to approve Resolution #2026-24 3rd Quarter Secondary Roads transfer in the amounts of $313,892.25 from Rural Services, $22,240.25 from General Services and $34,623.95 from LOST. Fitzgerald seconded, MC 3-0. AYES-Beggs, Fitzgerald and Wall. NAYS-0.
NEW BUSINESS:
Employee Insurance buyouts were reviewed and signed. Auditor Henry presented Resolution #2026-25 Establishing taxing period for EMS Levy. The EMS levy will begin with 2025 Valuations payable FY26/27 and end with 2039 valuations payable FY2040/2041. Fitzgerald motioned to approve Resolution #2026-25, Wall seconded, MC 3-0. AYES-Fitzgerald, Beggs and Wall, NAYS-0. Fitzgerald motioned to recess for closed session and public hearing. Wall seconded, MC 3-0. AYES: Fitzgerald, Wall and Beggs. NAYS: 0. Closed Session ended at 9:55 a.m. At 10:00 a.m. Beggs called the Max Levy public hearing to order. In attendance Beggs, Fitzgerald, Wall, Henry, Larimer, Stan Price and Karen Price. Discussion was held on how the FY27 Budgets numbers looked. Wall motioned to close the Max Levy hearing at 10:15 a.m., Fitzgerald seconded. MC 3-0. The Board returned from recess. Sheriff Weed updated the Board on the process of obtaining a new radio console for his office. He provided a quote from RACom in the amount of $185,560.72 for a Zetron Max D console with a $1500 yearly maintenance fee.
Board meetings for April include 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th. FY26 Budget amendment and FY27 Budget hearings will be held on April 16th.

OLD BUSINESS:
Henry gave an update on activities with the City of Conway unincorporating.
Claims against the County were reviewed and approved.

The Board discussed items for the next meeting.

Fitzgerald made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Wall seconded, MC 3-0.
Meeting adjourned.
