PROCEEDINGS FOR THE
TAYLOR COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
The Taylor County Board of Supervisors met in regular session at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday,
June 30, 2025. Supervisor Jack Beggs called the meeting to order at 9:05 a m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Supervisor roll call: Beggs and Watson present, Fitzgerald joined by phone. Also present, Auditor Judy Henry, Nikki Lock, Andy Knuth, Josh Weed, Julie Robinson, Dan Wyckoff and Josh Good.
Watson made a motion to approve the agenda for today.
COMMITTEE REPORT:
Watson attended Southern Iowa Trolly meeting.
PUBLIC COMMENT:
None
NEW BUSINESS:
Henry presented an engagement letter from Ahlers & Cooney, P.C., for human resource services beginning July 1, 2025. The prior contract for services was void since Taylor County signed the contract with VERSED not INCS. INCS was wanting to change the contract. VERSED or INCS failed to give the County a 90-day notice which is required for any contract changes. Beggs motioned to no longer use INCS Services or VERSED as Taylor County human resource representation. Fitzgerald seconded, MC 3-0. Beggs motioned to approve the engagement letter with Ahlers & Cooney, P.C. for human resource representation. Watson seconded, MC 3-0.
OLD BUSINESS:
Henry presented an updated Appendix A for the Sheriffs Union. The original Appendix A was rejected by the County Auditor’s Office due to incorrect wage listing. Watson made a motion to approve the updated Appendix A. Fitzgerald seconded, MC 3-0.
The Board discussed items for the next meeting.
Watson made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Fitzgerald seconded, MC 3-0. Meeting adjourned.
