PROCEEDINGS FOR THE

     TAYLOR COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

The Taylor County Board of Supervisors met in regular session at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday,

July 3, 2025. Supervisor Jack Beggs called the meeting to order at 9:07 a m.  The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Supervisor roll call: Fitzgerald, Watson, and Beggs present.   Also present, Auditor Judy Henry, Belinda Ogle, Julie Robinson, Mike Wells and Josh Good.

Fitgerald made a motion to approve the amended agenda to include fuel bid letting for today and minutes from the June 24 and June 30, 2025, meetings. Watson second, MC 3-0.

COMMITTEE REPORT:

Fitzgerald attended the Crossroads meeting.

PUBLIC COMMENT:

None

SECONDARY ROAD REPORT:

Ogle presented a Utility Permit from Bug Tussel Carrier Services (BTCS). Permit is for a cell tower near Hwy 148 and 140th St. Watson motioned to approve the BTCS permit.  Fitzgerald seconded, MC 3-0. Bids were opened for fuel letting, which included R.K. Fuels for $273,458.51 and AgriLand for $273,343.50.  Fitzgerald motioned to accept the bid from AgriLand.  Watson seconded, MC 3-0.

NEW BUSINESS:

The Board signed Resolution 2026-1 Financial Support of Lenox Toddler Pool, which had been approved at the June 19,2025 meeting. Appointment of a County Attorney was tabled until the July 10, 2025, meeting. Fitzgerald motioned to approve real estate credit and exemption applications.  Watson seconded, MC 3-0. Fitzgerald made a motion to approve the Taylor County Fair liquor license.  Watson seconded, MC 3-0.  Per prior discussion Fitzgerald made a motion to donate another $15,000 from LOST funds to help with improvements at the fairgrounds. Watson seconded the motion, MC 3-0. Watson made a motion to approve equipment disposal forms from various departments.  Fitzgerld seconded, MC 3-0. Watson motioned to go into recess to look at the public health building.  Fitzgerald seconded, MC 3-0. The Board returned to regular session. 

OLD BUSINESS:

The Board approved claims to be paid and discussed items for the next meeting.

Watson made a motion to adjourn the meeting.  Fitzgerald seconded, MC 3-0. Meeting adjourned.
