PROCEEDINGS FOR THE
TAYLOR COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
The Taylor County Board of Supervisors met in regular session at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 10, 2025. Supervisor Beggs called the meeting to order at 9:11 a m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Supervisor roll call: Fitzgerald, Watson and Beggs present. Also, present Auditor Judy Henry, Jim Rowe, Andrew Knuth, Michael Wells, Josh Good, Dan Wyckoff and Julie Robinson.
Fitzgerald made a motion to approve the agenda for today and the minutes from July 3, 2025, meeting with spelling correction from Big to Bug, Watson seconded the motion. MC 3-0.
COMMITTEE REPORT:
Fitzgerald had an ATURA meeting.
PUBLIC COMMENT:
None
SECONDARY ROAD REPORT:
Rowe stated they continue to work on projects. J20 work will be on July 24th, 2025. Work starts on Hwy 148 the week of July 14, 2025. Rowe stated one of the Secondary Roads buildings may need work, he requested the Board look at it.
NEW BUSINESS:
Auditor Henry presented a MOU-AFSCME for Longevity change for FY26. Watson made a motion to approve the Memorandum of Understanding for the Sheriff’s Union. Fitzgerald seconded, MC 3-0. Michael Wells and Andy Knuth made statements on their behalf for the County Attorney position. The Board expressed their appreciation to Mr. Knuth for the work he has done. Michael Wells serves as the current Ringgold County Attorney. Fitzgerald made a motion to approve Resolution 2026-2, that Taylor County continue the 28-E Sharing Agreement with Ringgold County. Michael Wells was appointed, salary of $56,633.98. Watson seconded the motion, MC 3-0. The Agreement will go into effect July 15, 2025. Henry also presented contract termination with Versed HR, LLC. Fitgerald motioned to approve the termination. Watson seconded, MC 3-0.
OLD BUSINESS:
The Board approved claims to be paid and discuss items for the next meeting.
Fitzgerald made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Watson seconded the motion. MC 3-0. Meeting adjourned.
