January 8, 2026 Meeting Minutes

PROCEEDINGS FOR THE
TAYLOR COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

The Taylor County Board of Supervisors met in regular session at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday,
January 8, 2026. Supervisor Jack Beggs called the meeting to order at 9:00 a m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Supervisor roll call: Fitzgerald and Beggs present. Also present, Auditor Judy Henry, Engineer Seth Sunderman, IT Josh Good, Corey Eberling and Shari Morris.

Fitzgerald made a motion to approve the agenda for today, Beggs seconded. MC 2-0.

COMMITTEE REPORT:
Beggs attended the SICOG meeting.

PUBLIC COMMENT:
None

SECONDARY ROAD REPORT:
No utility permits. Sunderman reported they continue to work on bridge and mowing projects. Engineer Sunderman informed the Board the public hearing set for Post Ave will need to be moved due to a publishing error. Fitzgerald motioned to set the new public hearing date to January 29th, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Beggs seconded, MC 2-0.
NEW BUSINESS:
Department Heads had further discussion on the Handbook. The Handbook will be on the agenda for final approval on January 16th, 2026. Discussion was held on the Sheriff’s Office Union negations, all parties came to 3-year agreement. A tentative agreement will be placed on the agenda for January 16, 2026.

OLD BUSINESS:
The Board approved claims to be paid and discussed items for the next meeting.
Fitzgerald made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Beggs seconded, MC 2-0.
Meeting adjourned.
