February 5, 2026 Meeting Minutes

PROCEEDINGS FOR THE
TAYLOR COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

The Taylor County Board of Supervisors met in regular session at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday,
February 5, 2026. Supervisor Jack Beggs called the meeting to order at 9:05 a.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Supervisor roll call: Beggs, Fitzgerald and Wall present. Also present, Auditor Judy Henry and Jim Rowe.

Fitzgerald made a motion to approve the agenda for today and the minutes from the January 29, 2026, meeting. Wall seconded, MC 3-0.

COMMITTEE REPORT:
Beggs attended the SICOG meeting. Wall attended the EMA meeting.

PUBLIC COMMENT:
None

SECONDARY ROADS:
No permits. Wall motioned to approve new weight limit posting is Holt 1&12, Jefferson 21, Platte 18, Ross 9. Fitzgerald seconded, MC 3-0. Wall made a motion to remove postings in Marshall 5&26, Jefferson 3, Dallas 8&25, Jackson 17&20. Fitzgerald seconded, MC 3-0. Resolution 2026-#18 was tabled until the next Board meeting.

NEW BUSINESS:
Auditor Henry presented the Bedford Senior Center funding request of $1,000. Rob Lundquist joined the Board meeting by phone to make the Lenox Neighborhood Center funding request. Sheriff Weed and Chief Deputy Bucher presented the Sheriffs Budget. Wall motioned to approve Taylor County Resolution 2026-#19, New Employee Buyout form. Fitzgerald seconded, MC 3-0.
OLD BUSINESS:
Culp, Maintenance, reported on the progress with the west lower-level remodel.
The Board discussed items for the next meeting.

Fitzgerald made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Wall seconded, MC 3-0.
Meeting adjourned.
