PROCEEDINGS FOR THE
TAYLOR COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
The Taylor County Board of Supervisors met in regular session at 9:00 a.m. on Friday,
August 1, 2025. Supervisor Jack Beggs called the meeting to order at 9:02 a m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Supervisor roll call: Fitzgerald, Watson, and Beggs present. Also present, Auditor Judy Henry, Rob Welch, Shari Morris, Josh Good, Danielle Lawrence, Sarah Guilliatt and Belinda Ogle.
Watson made a motion to approve the agenda for today and the minutes from the July 24, 2025, meeting. Ron seconded, MC 3-0.
COMMITTEE REPORT:
Fitzgerald attended the Crossroads meeting.
Watson attended the Southern Iowa Trolly meeting.

PUBLIC COMMENT:
Rob Welch, JCG Land Services stated the Bat studies are still going on. He also introduced Shari Morris, she is the new contact for JCG Land Services.
SECONDARY ROAD REPORT:
Ogle reported on continued road repairs. She stated due to the power outage Secondary Roads will be looking for a bigger generator.
NEW BUSINESS:
Henry presented Resolution #26-3, ISAC Designation for Voting Representatives. Watson motioned to approve Resolution #26-3. Fitzgerald seconded, MC 3-0. Watson made a motion to approve the equipment disposal forms. Fitzgerald seconded, MC 3-0. Public Health updated the Board on the problems with the power outage; some areas of the building were not wired to the generator. Henry and Good asked if there could be a second generator put on the East side of the Courthouse to power more offices. The Auditor and Treasurer offices remained open the day of the outage. Both were able to run off the current generator.
Kyle Ahlenstorf and Mike Schwitzer joined the meeting for discussion on the progress of Infinity Health providing more services to Taylor County citizens. The Taylor County Board of Supervisor’s stated they weren’t interested in moving the Public Health to a different building. The Board suggested Public Health and Infinity utilize the South Building next to Public Health. Good gave an update on IT services for Public Health, Infinity and Taylor County.
OLD BUSINESS:
The Board approved claims to be paid and discussed items for the next meeting.
Watson made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Fitzgerald seconded, MC 3-0.
