The Taylor County Courthouse and County Offices will be closed on Thursday, December 24th and Friday, December 25th in observance of Christmas. Regular operations will resume on Monday, December 28th.

The Taylor County Courthouse and County Offices will be closed on Thursday, November 26th and Friday, November 27th in observance of Thanksgiving. Regular operations will resume on Monday, November 30th.

Data/Solar/etc Moratorium Draft Passed July 30, 2026
On July 30, 2026, the Taylor County Board of Supervisors officially passed Ordinance No. 40, establishing a temporary 12-month moratorium on new applications for data centers, solar energy systems, battery energy storage systems, and mineral rights developments.
